Manufactured from ultra-lightweight multi-forged magnesium alloy this wheel offers optimum stiffness from its innovative and unique 7-spoke design, the M7R Genesi Magnesium wheel delivers ultimate feedback and new levels of performance to the rider on the road and on the race track.
A product of Marchesini's wide experience in the world of top level racing such as MotoGP and WSBK , the M7R Genesi has been developed using cutting edge design, structural analysis and development techniques. The use of a magnesium alloy normally used in aerospace applications, multi-directional forging and the use of dies optimised for final wheel geometry have helped to create an extremely lightweight material with excellent mechanical properties. The set (the two fitted wheels) weighs only 7.7 kg.
Compared with the OEM wheels of the major European and Japanese brands, the M7R Genesi is able to reduce weight from 26% to 41% depending on model application. With the M7R Genesi, Marchesini has broken new ground with significantly higher acceleration, shorter braking distances and faster handling into and out of bends. TECHNICAL FEATURES
- “MotoGP ” design guarantees ultra high performance and weight reduction.
- Light alloy wheels in aluminium or magnesium reduce the gyroscopic effect and the moment of inertia, thereby significantly increasing responsiveness and handling agility. All this ensures better accelerating and braking performance. Similarly, changing direction is also much faster. Every detail hallmarks product excellence. Innovative anti-slip treatment on the wheel rims prevents tyre spin movement between wheel and tyre under hard accelerating or braking.
- Lightweight cushdrive and hub assembly identical to that used in BSB, SBK and MotoGP world championships.
- Light weight 90° angled anodized aluminium tyre valves as used by Moto GP for easy access.
These wheels are interchangeable with most popular Japanese & European sports bikes without any modifications.
The wheel kit comes with all billet wheels spacers, disc carriers, Bearings, Dust seals and sprocket carrier.
Marchesini wheels are interchangeable with the original wheels except for the sprocket, which has to be replaced with a version meeting the Marchesini standard.
